Other Services

Check-Out:   All library materials check-out for 21 days. Three renewals may be permitted. Materials that are on hold for another patron may not be renewed. Materials may also be renewed online. Holds may also be placed online.

-One week after materials are due patrons may receive a notice by email, phone or letter.

MOREnet Services: Through MOREnet we have access to research databases for students ofall ages. We now also have access to e-books and audiobooks. The e-books and audiobooks are free and there is no waiting list to use them.  Click on Online Resources to access these services.

EBooks and Audiobooks: The Library belongs to the Missouri Libraries 2 Go (Overdrive/Libby) and Grand River Library Consortium’s Axis 360 for downloadable eBooks and audiobooks.  We also have Tumblebooks for children. Patrons will need a valid library card.

Online Card Catalog:  The Marion County Library Sub-district # 1 is completely automated, and you may search for materials by title, subject, or author. The same searches are available through the website

Interlibrary Loan:  If a book you wish to read is not available at our library, we will borrow it from another library for you. 

Homebound Program:  Please contact the library for the delivery of library materials on a regular basis to persons who are permanently or temporarily home-bound.

Story Time:   Story Time takes place on Fridays at 10:00am.  Story Times are provided for children from babies to school age. 

Large Print Books:  The Library maintains a collection of Nonfiction and Fiction books in large print format.

Launchpads: In our Children’s Department, we offer literacy tablets for children ages 0-10.  These tablets are loaded with learning apps that help children to comprehend math, English, and reading. Fun learning games are also included.  Ask how to get yours!

Fishing poles: The Missouri Dept. of Conservation has given the library fishing poles and small tackle boxes to be checked out! Stop in and get one or two today!
